Brett Zimmerman- Food or Beverage Trainer
As a Casual Food or Beverage Trainer for NSF, I consider myself to be in a privileged position of passing on my experience of over 15 years working as senior chef in many restaurants/hotels and resorts across New Zealand, Australia and the UK.
Furthermore, having acquired over 15 years’ experience in the secondary school teaching hospitality and food technology. In this time, we set up the catering academy within the school where many of our students achieved distinction at the national culinary fare across many years. As part of the catering academy, we taught the students the importance and value of food and beverage and food hygiene.
One of my personal career highlights was cooking for the last Tom Cruise movie set – The Last Samurai, which was filmed in the wider Taranaki region. In the peak season of the filming, we were catering over 1500 actors and actresses.
Being a casual Food and Beverage Trainer for NSF I gain tremendous satisfaction from delivering my workshops to the learners who constantly impress me with their desire to improve their knowledge and expertise in their chosen profession.
